She is no stranger to aiming and shooting to protect her and the ones she loves. Being in the right place at the right time serves its purpose while she travels the long road of discovery with her newfound friend and lover Detective Derren Jensen. In the midst of solving the murder case of Terrance, she and the detective unravel clue after clue about why the young man was murdered. The leaders of the commotion were Santiagos vs.Damu. Santiago was captured to serve time in prison, but not the time he thought he was serving. Instead his life changed drastically while during numbers. He changed into none other than a servant of God. While he was figuring out how to change the streets, Damu and his brothers were busy figuring out how they would change the streets without the king. Their plans were to get rid of him for good, but not expecting the bartering system of trading bad for good. Unbeknownst to them the outside influence of it all was not in the plans of neither family. While they prepare to bury their life long friend, brother and business partner shots ring out and kill an unexpected by stander. The daughter of a cop, a cop that ‘s not going out without a dead body. He shoots to kill and taking numbers while doing so. Until the burial of Terrance, both families including the police squad and FBI will soon find out who the whole city has been searching high and low for; the one that has been responsible for the deaths of the hustlers and whom ever stood in the way. No one would ever guess who had caused the whole city to fight one either. Its not who they think it is. It’s a mystery until deaths do them apart. Why does anyone want to get rid of Detective Jensen, was his nose too far into the investigation, was he too familiar with the opposing suspects, or was he minutes away from blowing the cover of one of his trusted comrades. Finding love, evidence and reality all in the same situation caused the uproar in the dept of the streets of Detroit. Crack Volume 1 is an awesome read. It starts off slow but has a steady pace. Well written piece of work. It read like a movie and the sequels are highly anticipated. Great Good Shaka. What I like most about this book? What I like least about the book?
