  1. There is a great debate about showing emotions for professional musicians, perhaps even more with pianists. I think it is entirely possible to have the greatest talent and artistry without the need to show anything on your face. Most great pianists don’t show anything: Arrau, Rubinstein, Horowitz and so many others. I agree that Hahn shows very little, and even her gesture seems sometimes robotic, but close your eyes and just listen to the music. As she probably does.

  2. Frost, the record producer here, errs greatly in saying, at 2:40 “The challenge is that you’re going to be compared to the great violinists of this century who have recorded Bach.” Surely the “challenge” lies on them. They’re surely cheering from above with old JS.

  3. She simply surprided her public in Berlin again with a wonderful interpretation of the Beethoven’s Violin Concert D-Dur at the Philharmonic Hall, May17th2015. Five long ovations she thanked with 3 minutes Bach’s music.

  4. I WISH THERE WAS NO SPEACH ON THIS SPOT ! ONLY H: HAHN Playing 🙂
Because that SPEAKS ENOUGH FOR ITSELF !
She Plays EXCELLENT ! Her interpretation is truly musical and “You freeze On Your back ” listening to her !!

  5. I dream about having played the violin just like her. Of course it never happened and it never will. To master the ultimate perfection… my God! , Hilary Hahn was born under a Lucky Star.
