  1. Benjamin Zander’s mind is completely on a much higher level of understanding of the music than mine will ever be. It’s clear that he is passionate about the music. I shall practice some more.

  2. Mrs.Yoojin Jang is playing stars from heaven, it what a wonderful world we are living! We can go to heaven and return whenever we like to do, thanks to this wonderful beautiful young lady!

  3. Thanks for the video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard about – Riddleagan Master Violinist Remedy (probably on Google)? It is a great one of a kind product for playing violin like a master without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my old buddy Taylor got amazing results with it.

  4. Master classes are most interesting. An instrumentalist who is obviously already a virtuoso is subjected to the musical interpretations of a famous musician. We know Mr. Zander an sing, and wave his arms about wildly, but as far as the real teaching goes, it has already been done by previous teachers who had to begin with tuning the instrument holding the bow and reading music. These are the teachers who deserve the credit!

  5. I don’t know why but usually the violin for me by far isn’t the favourite instrument and thats kinda euphemistically spoken. But man, do I gape at the sound of this piece.

  6. I can’t help but think that she would do an even better job if she played the violin barefooted or at least wear a pair of flats. I am not trying to be funny.

  7. This guy is a joke. Playing metronome at his best. She got lost, what was she doing there in the first place ? She is absolutely marvellous, no words to descripe her playing this concerto. I played it myself many times, this is not some showoff to get your feet let alone the fabrics of a mediocre comedian. Youtube has many advantages, but his one counts for the worst of it.

  8. Her original was absolutely phenomenal to begin with. I didn’t think it could get better, but once she took Zander’s suggestions her performance really stood out from many professional recordings I’ve heard. Especially loved the faster allegro appassionato tempo to help the music move in longer phrases. Great player, and great teacher! Thanks for posting 🙂

  9. Excellent lesson from Mr. Zander. Exquisite playing from Ms. Yang! She has all she needs to have a great career. Really impressive. She really grasps the musical ideas quickly and she is so flexible to let go of her interpretation and try something new that will for sure make her a much richer musician and player. Bravo to all!

  10. The girl is fantastic, but some of the suggestions go against what Mendelssohn wrote: end of secind theme the high A has a fermata on it! Why would you just play through without taking your time there.
